Margie Beaton

Fiddle

Margie’s journey into traditional Gaelic culture began with stepdance lessons at the tender age of 4. Surrounded by the music and the active participation of family and friends, it felt like a natural fit for Margie, whose roots trace back through a long line of musicians, singers, and dancers. In later years, she embraced the fiddle and piano, each art form fostering a deeper appreciation in the other. Teaming up with her sister Dawn, the two redheads from Mabou have been immersed in a world of dance, music, learning, and teaching, fortunate to share their passion both locally and internationally. Margie, now blending her education and love for her culture, finds fulfillment in her role in marketing and school at the Gaelic College, cherishing every moment of her work.
