Darren McMullen, from Hardwood Lands, NS, is a highly sought after multi-instrumentalist. Performing full time as a member of the band “Còig,” Darren was first introduced to Celtic style guitar while playing at Irish sessions and in various bands on the Halifax pub scene. Being a regular sideman for JP Cormier for 4 years certainly provides a wealth of opportunities to learn Celtic guitar. Being a regular player with David Francey, both in the studio and on the stage also adds to the number of styles Darren is comfortable playing. He is most often seen alongside wife and local fiddler Rachel Davis.
