Cameron started piping with Trevor Kellock at age 10. He is a lead harmony player with the Cape Breton Island Grade 4 Pipe Band based out of Sydney. With the CBI Pipe Band, he has played in the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo Youth Band and with the Chieftains at Celtic Colours. He has travelled to compete both with the band and solo, winning many awards including North American Pipe Band Championships for grade 5 in 2019. Cameron has worked at Colaisde na Gàidhlig / the Gaelic College during the summer months as duty piper and is completing his second year at Beinn Mhàbu.
