Brittany Rankin MacDonald is from Mabou and grew up surrounded by Gaelic culture. She frequently performed with her four siblings at local concerts and festivals growing up. She is a fluent Gaelic speaker, singer and step dancer. She has worked at Colaisde na Gàidhlig | The Gaelic College as Festival Coordinator for KitchenFest! and Hall of the Clans Interpreter. Brittany has taught Gaelic song and step dance workshops, as well as hosted Gaelic Playgroups in Baddeck, NS. She is a mentor for the Gaelic Mentorship Program, Na Gaisgich Òga | The Young Heroes, and is also a past participant of Gaelic Master-apprenticeship Program, Bun is Bàrr, meaning root and branch. She sits on the executive of the Board of Directors of Còmhlan Fimeadairean Gàidhlig na h-Albann Nuaidh (Gaelic Filmmakers Society of Nova Scotia) and recently narrated a short Gaelic film. Brittany welcomes the opportunity to share her love of Gaelic culture with the younger generation through lots of fun, songs and games.
