Leanne Aucoin is a multi-talented musician from Sydney Mines,Cape Breton, Canada who comes from a family steeped in Cape Breton music and tradition. She has performed in many parts of Canada, the US and Ireland. Having a passion for teaching, Leanne has been able to pass on the tradition of Cape Breton music and dance to her own students, at workshops, the College, and now Long and McQuaid music store in Sydney. In late 2006, Leanne released her debut album All Set, a traditional album featuring Tracey Dares-MacNeil and Dave MacIsaac and also members of her family. The album was recognized by the East Coast Music Awards and was nominated in the category of Roots/Traditional Solo Recording of the Year in 2008.
