PILOT SESSION - A NEW SESSION FOR SUMMER SCHOOL 2010
JAM SESSION PERIOD(S) EACH DAY

1.  The jam session - would instruct students how to participate in and maintain a jam session so that there are no breaks in sets - how to keep a jam session going in terms of tunes that flow together both in key signature and in tempo.  Also in this regard, what keys compliment each other, how to make drastic key changes, how to make transitions from one tune into the next and when you have to inform the piano player of a change.
2.  Teach how to play for a square set/dance. There needs to be a certain number of tunes ready to go and there are certain tunes that work as "starter" tunes that are great for starting off sets.
