Lisa Gallant MacNeil, originally from Little Bras d’Or, Cape Breton, began her musical journey quite young, taking up step dancing at 6. She would soon look to the fiddle too, studying with teachers Dan MacDonald and Allie Bennett. Lisa toured regularly with the celtic fusion group, Slàinte Mhath, playing percussion/bodhran, fiddle and step dancing. She is a seasoned step dance instructor, having taught as part of the Gaelic College summer sessions over the years as well as teaching privately and at workshops locally, nationally, and internationally. Now living in Sydney with her husband Boyd MacNeil, she is currently studying to be a massage therapist.
