Lawrence Cameron, like his mother, is a noted piano player. Hailing from Cape Breton’s Margarees, now living in Belle Cote, Lawrence began performing at an early age with regular appearances in Broadcove and Mabou among other venues. With his ability to show great variance in styles, he has a history with the Cape Breton Fiddlers’ Association, the Inverness County Singers, local theatre groups, as well as a recent musical production, “Ten Hands” where Lawrence displayed his classical abilities. The Cameron music continues most notably with his son, Douglas who is becoming quite a fiddler. Lawrence teaches music at Cape Breton Highlands Academy in Belle Cote.
