SOLD OUT – KitchenFest! Traditional Codfish Supper
Enjoy this cultural staple, including maritime codfish, potatoes, vegetable medley, curds, bacon and onions, chow or pickles, and a roll, just like Grandma used to make. A full feed will be just the ticket prior to the Wednesday Night Ceilidh happening on campus at 7:30pm. A limited amount of tickets will be sold so reserving a spot is best. Dessert, coffee and tea included. Suppertime music provided by Karen Beaton and Leona Williams.
Tickets are non-refundable and once purchased will be set aside for you at the door. They will not be mailed.

The Rèiteach Play
West Side Performing Arts Cooperative are pleased to present “The Rèiteach”, a play written by Brenda MacLennan-Dunphy, sponsored by KitchenFest! The Rèiteach tells the story of a traditional Scottish wedding rite and the comedy that ensues in a small Cape Breton village on the night the wedding banns are announced. The play is inspired by a story by Jim St. Clair entitled, “The Double Elopement Story”, written in The Cape Breton Magazine in 1973.
A musical comedy sure to keep you laughing and toe tapping with a few of the islands best musicians. The show will be jointly produced and directed by Diane Mouland and Janet Burbidge.

SOLD OUT – KitchenFest! Concert at the Friends United Centre
In a beautiful corner of the island, we’re thrilled to have this special concert part of the 2024 festival. The Friends United Centre displays the largest private collection of Indigenous art in Atlantic Canada and includes a perfect performance area. Tunes and songs, stories and more are all in store for this festive evening.
Doors open for ticket holders from 5pm-7pm for viewing Artwork & the Friends United International Centre. A door prize draw for a Loretta Gould (Friends Untied Artist) Canvas Print will occur for a lucky ticket holder.
