Dianne Quimby’s passion for weaving grew from a career as a nurse, nursing instructor, antiques dealer, interpretive guide at Highland Village, into an entrepreneurial business, www.wovencloth.ca. Dianne learned to weave at Nova Scotia Designer Craft Council weaving classes in Halifax and since has taken workshops with Canadian master weavers Laura Fry and Jane Stafford. Other influences have been Swedish weaving with Becky Ashenden, overshot with Patti McClelland, and informal guild sessions with Marie MacDonald. Dianne is the current president of the South Haven Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers as well as a member of the international Internet-based study group, Complex Weavers. She has been found frequently demonstrating at several local community markets. Her weaving can be found around the globe. She’ll share her passion with anyone who shows an interest.
