Travel by Shuttle Van

There are numerous shuttle vans operating out of Cape Breton that travel from Sydney to Halifax and return daily picking up and dropping off passengers at various points along the route - the Halifax Airport, the Truro Train Station, downtown Halifax points to name a few. Students must reserve their seat on these vans well in advance of their arrival. Shuttle van information will be included in travel information that you can request on the application.

Travel by Air

Students may use two airports to reach the College - Halifax or Sydney. Halifax is approximately a four and one-half hour drive to the College (by car of van) through pleasant scenery. Sydney is about a one-hour drive from the College. If you plan to use Halifax airport you may reach the College by bus or shuttle van. If you plan to use the Sydney airport a taxi is required to bring you to the College. Due to potential delays now caused by increased security at the airports, we are recommending that youth students travelling alone by air use the Sydney airport to avoid the possibility of missing ground transportation scheduled to deliver them to the College.
