The Gaelic College Library houses over 600 texts - including a Gaelic Children's Section - dealing with Gaelic language, culture, literature history as well as a good collection of Gaelic and English journals from both Cape Breton and Scotland.
The Library also houses in excess of 170 tapes (from collections at the Beaton Institute, University College of Cape Breton), 70 hours of recorded material (from the Rinzler collection housed at the Smithsonian Institute), and 20 hours of recorded material from the Fèis an Eilein collections.
Adult Texts
Hundreds of books in both Gaelic and English are included in the Adult Texts. Search for Local Authors or search the whole Library by Title or Subject.
CBU Collection
These books are on permanent loan from Cape Breton University (CBU).

The Gaelic Oral Tradition of Cape Breton is documented in the Tape Collection.
